1873 · brewery founded
German immigrants Adolph Coors and Jacob Schueler founded the brewery in 1873, using a pilsner recipe bought from a Czech immigrant. Coors bought out his partner in 1880. It survived Prohibition, and the Golden plant is the world's largest single-site brewery. It is part of Molson Coors.
