Rob Tod started a small 15-barrel brewery because Belgian-style beers were hard to find in the US. His first beer, Allagash White, is a witbier spiced with Curaçao orange peel and coriander. In 2007 Allagash built the first traditional coolship in the US for spontaneously fermented beers.
