St. Louis, United States
1876 · first brewed
Adolphus Busch and his friend Carl Conrad created a "Bohemian-style" lager in 1876, named after the Czech brewing town of Budweis. The recipe includes up to 30% rice. A trademark dispute with Czech Budvar means it is sold as "Bud" in much of the EU. It is owned by AB InBev.
