Quilmes

1890 · brewery founded

Founded by German immigrant Otto Bemberg, Quilmes became a national symbol with about three-quarters of the Argentine beer market. Its labels use Argentina's light blue and white, and it sponsored the national football team. In 1993 it launched Liberty, Argentina's first alcohol-free beer. AmBev has owned it since 2002.
