Delirium Tremens
Brewed by Huyghe in Melle, Belgium

Huyghe
Melle, Belgium
1906 · brewery founded
Leon Huyghe bought an existing brewery in 1906, on a site where beer had been brewed since 1654. The pink elephant on its Delirium labels is a nod to the hallucinations of delirium tremens, the condition the beer is named after. US authorities once banned the beer for a time, saying its name and imagery encouraged excessive drinking.
