Unibroue was started by André Dion and Serge Racine, who bought the Massawippi brewery mainly to get its brewing licence during a licensing moratorium. It specialises in Belgian-style, bottle-conditioned ales; La Fin du Monde ('The End of the World') is a strong golden tripel. Owned by Japan's Sapporo since 2006.
