Damm was founded by Alsatian brewer August Kuentzmann Damm and his cousin Joseph Damm. Voll-Damm is a 7.2% 'double malt' Märzen-style lager; its name comes from the German Vollbier ('full beer'), and its label uses Gothic lettering. It is Damm's strong sibling to Estrella Damm.
