Lapin Kulta

1963 · first brewed

'Lapland Gold' was brewed in Tornio by a brewery founded in 1873. To use the name, the brewery had to buy a gold-mining company of the same name, and its articles of association still listed 'prospecting for gold'. Owner Hartwall, now part of Royal Unibrew, moved brewing to Lahti when Tornio closed.
