Created in 1905 as the premium beer of the Cuauhtémoc brewery and named after the Czech region of Bohemia, home of the hops it was brewed with. The brand also includes the Christmas seasonal Noche Buena, first sold in 1924. Heineken bought the brewery in 2010 when it acquired FEMSA's beer business.
