Birra Moretti

1859 · brewery founded

Luigi Moretti founded the brewery in 1859, when Udine was still part of the Austrian Empire. The man with the moustache on the label is said to come from a photo of an elderly man in a local trattoria in 1942, who asked only for a drink as payment. Heineken has owned the brand since 1996.
