Kirin Ichiban

Kirin launched Ichiban Shibori in 1990. The name means "first press" because it uses only the first wort that runs off the mash. Kirin itself grew out of the Japan Brewery Company, founded in Yokohama in 1885 with backing from Mitsubishi. Its name comes from the qilin, a mythical Chinese creature.
