One of the youngest big Czech breweries: construction began in 1966 and the first batch was brewed on 3 December 1970. Privatised in 1990, it joined Plzeňský Prazdroj in 1999, which has been owned by Asahi since 2017. The Nošovice brewery also makes the non-alcoholic Birell.
