1988 · brewery founded
Founded by brewer Dr Charles Hahn in an old factory in Camperdown. After the early-1990s recession hurt sales, Lion bought it in 1993 and made Hahn its chief brewer. Hahn beers moved to the Tooheys brewery, and the original site was renamed the Malt Shovel Brewery, home of James Squire beers.
