Cascade

1824 · brewery founded

Cascade gives 1824 as its founding year. Peter Degraves long got the credit, but research in 2011 showed the brewery beside the Hobart Rivulet was started in 1832 by his partner Hugh Macintosh while Degraves was in prison for debt, and that Degraves later falsified the story.
