Fix

1864 · brewery founded

Bavarian-born Johann Karl Fuchs (Fix) founded Greece's first major brewery in 1864, and it supplied the royal court. After about a century of dominance it lost ground to foreign brands and went bankrupt in 1983. The brand was revived in 2009 and is now brewed at Ritsona on Euboea.
