Kamenitza

1881 · brewery founded

In 1881 three Swiss entrepreneurs built a brewery on Plovdiv's Kamenitza hill and named their beer after it. It was the first in Bulgaria to brew a dark beer. Kamenitza is owned by Molson Coors, and its main brewery is now in Haskovo, with a microbrewery on the original Plovdiv site.
