Cervecería Centro Americana was founded by brothers Mariano and Rafael Castillo Córdova. Gallo ('rooster'), a 5% lager with a cockerel on the label, has been brewed since 1896 and is Guatemala's oldest beer still in production. In France and the US it is sold as 'Famosa'.
