1950 · brewery founded

The name '2M' comes from the MacMahon brewery opened in the capital in 1950, which recalls French president Patrice de MacMahon. In 1995 it was privatized together with the Manica brewery in Beira to form Cervejas de Moçambique, now an AB InBev subsidiary with about 94% of the national beer market.
