Goldstar

Goldstar has been brewed since 1950, originally at the Cabeer brewery in Rishon LeZion. It is marketed as a dark lager, although it looks amber. Goldstar and Maccabee came under one owner in 1975 and were sold to Tempo in 1986; Tempo, the country's largest brewer, also imports Heineken.
