Founded by Bernard Lancelot, a former nuclear engineer turned beekeeper near the Brocéliande forest; his first beer was a honey cervoise inspired by the Gauls. In 1999 it moved into the buildings of an old gold and tin mine. Its staff later created Breizh Cola, whose company bought the brewery in 2004.
